BIO
Who Am I
I grew up playing sports, which fueled my original desires to be a sports journalist. I've travelled across the country to visit stadiums and watch games since I was a child. I always loved being able to document my experiences at iconic stadiums, like Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium, through video and pictures.
I spent just over four years at the University of North Texas working towards a double major in Journalism and History. All the while, paying my way through working a full-time job simultaneously.
At UNT I studied all different aspects of Journalism. From it's history, to broadcast, digital storytelling, photography, and even how to teach it in a high school classroom. I hope to continue learning outside of the classroom as I look to start my career in the industry.
I have 3+ years of experience in all aspects of video production (Filming, Scripting, Editing). Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office applications. I'm detail oriented, and have experience writing for multiple platforms (Print/Web, Social Media, Radio/TV) and familiarity with livestreaming platforms and software.

PORTFOLIO OF WORK
Broadcast and Photography
NAVO MINI-PITCH DEDICATION, 2021
This was a video shot and edited myself while interning with the Denton ISD Communications Department. It was used by the district in a Twitter post following the event. This was my first opportunity to produce a video for use outside of a classroom assignment.
SMALL BUSINESS INSIDER POST-REOPENING, 2021
This was an assignment I worked on for my final Journalism Capstone course. It was a follow-up story to a written article I did the previous Fall semester. It gives a perspective into the life of a small business owner in Denton throughout the pandemic and how business was affected throughout. This was an in-depth assignment that included many different elements.
RETURN TO NORMALCY, 2021
This package was an assignment done in my final full semester at UNT. It covers multiple peoples opinions on returning to normalcy following the COVID-19 pandemic. It focuses more on the mental state they are in and the difficulties they will face trying to reacclimate to normal life.
2020 ELECTION PACKAGE, NTTV
This was an assignment I worked on covering the 2020 Presidential Election. I focused on the potential transfer of power issues that could arise between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS IN DENTON, NTTV
For this package I focused on traffic violations in the City of Denton. I spoke with Sgt. Bryan Cose of the Denton Police Department about how he and his team enforce traffic violations and additional measures they take to prevent them.
